Nobama in '08!

Most people know, I love politics. I love our wonderful country. I think the entire world deserves the freedoms we all enjoy. No other place in the world comes close.

However, sadly, I think Republicans are going to lose big time this year and it really scares me. Democrats have a wildly different view of our country and giving people more freedom is NOT one of their goals.

This guy is probably going to be our President. He is lifting passages from the Bible without context. As if he is some sort of authority. His self proclaimed "mentors" scare me. He says we should have bombed Pakistan! Okay, deep breath... Let the games begin.

Cowgirls

Ainsley woke up yesterday and said, "Mama, I want to be a cowgirl today."

I hear cries "What's wrong, Ainsley??"

"Mommy! Lexi said cowgirls don't wear skirts.... " Sniff, sniff.

"They absolutely can wear skirts. Cowgirls are the lucky ones, they can wear skirts or pants. It's THEIR choice!"

Smiles, "Did you know, cowgirls always tuck in their shirts?"

"Really?"

"Yes. Also, can you put this back in my boot?" The sole had fallen out.

"MOM!! Cowgirls wear TWO braids, not ONE!!" Grimacing.

"No, no, they were one braid alllll the time."

"Mom, you have got to find my cowgirl hat! Okay, I'm ready for my piano lesson."

She proceeded to walk next door, Mr. Jay emailed me this picture. Apparently, he was smitten with how cute she was when she came over and took this picture.

Cleaning Day

We had ourselves a cleaning day. The chittles picked out "cleaning clothes." We all had lots of fun.

We ran up to Fiesta to get cleaning supplies. We got lots of looks to say the least.

We acutally had a great time. We sang Sound of Music songs the whole time and managed to make cleaning fun (for a while at least). They don't seem to mind cleaning as long as I stay in the room with them and tell them what to do, job by job. Makes sense I GUESS... We got it all done though - they were glad when we were done.

Dance Recital & Foot

Here are a few cute pictures of the girls before their Dance Recital. On Tuesday we went to an orthopedic and the doctor said Alexandra's foot is not broken or cracked.

The swelling & bruising is going away in the last couple of days. She still limps a little, but she says it feels much better!! Thanks goodness. It has NOT stopped her from swimming AND she even particpated in gymnastics. So, it can't be that bad I guess. One of those confusing injuries...

Btw, their favorite part was putting on makeup! They are sooooo girlie.
