Firetruck buttons

The school had a fun event called Hoops and Hotdogs.  They have free throw shooting contests and the kids run around and have lots of fun.  Here are a bunch of pictures a Dad took of Ainsley Grace and 1 of buddy.

They also have an exhibition game between the 8th graders and their parents.  It was standing room only, so we found a corner of the gym to sit in.  While we were watching the game, Whitaker climbed up on the mats and figured out that pulling a fire alarm is SUPER EASY to do.  You just have to lift the lever and push the button.

He was pretty proud  and loved all the excitement he generated while Stan and I walked around looking at the ground with our tails between our legs..... Bad baby.

Love

Valentines was sweet this year.  Ainsley Grace picked out her "One in a MINION" Valentine to make and Anderson picked out this Bouncy Ball Valentine.  I just love Pinterest!  They were extra cute.

Here is Whitaker kissing his big brother.  They love each other, it's sweet.  They also have their fighting moments to, it's real here.

Here were my Valentines on their Valentine Free Dress Day. I could eat them.

I helped with Ainsley Grace's class party.  It was cute.  Whitaker was moderately well behaved.  He kept demanding more chocolate or the balls we were playing with.  It worked out okay.

Later that night we took the kids bowling with some friends.  It was a great great time.  Love to bowl.  Although it's soo much more expensive than it used to be.......
I just love these kids so much.  My sweet friend wrote this poem before she even had kids.  It's so perfect.  Love it.

Tangled laces...sunny faces…children have it made.

Running races...going places...resting in the shade.
Sugar and spice…not thinking twice.  They’re younger than they seem.
A photograph…a remembered laugh…a child is but a dream…

Crazy Snow Days

Alexandra got kicked by her brother while playing basketball.   Instead of kicking the ball to keep her from getting the rebound, he kicked her finger.  It swelled up and hurt but fortunatly it was not broken.  Here she is playing with Whitaker at the doctor's office waiting to get an xray.

Here are Alexandra's cute socks for "crazy sock day."  They suit her, don't you think?

I made little door messages for the kids this year for Valentines Day.  The girls have hardly mentioned them, but Anderson comes in every morning asking when I'm going to put the next one up.  He is so super cute.  I need to make one for him that says, I love him "Because you like my door messages!"

We had a Snow Day.  Sort of.  More like an ice day but we made the best of it.

Freezing the kids

The kids steal my phone and take pictures of themselves.  I love it.  I also like taking pictures of them.  I feel like I want to freeze them and this is my only way.  They are growing up too fast.  Here are some goofy shots around the house.

Alexandra's selfie and photobomb.

Ainlsey Grace ready for her sleepover.

And the boys and silly silly selves.
