Daredevils

We went to the Texas State Fair last Friday. Successfully clogged our arteries and stayed almost 6 hours! A record for sure... This year we watched a Dare Devil show. The kids got a kick out of it. So did Stan. I think it may have inspired the kids to become daredevils!

Good Tips. This warning was for the Mirror Maze...?? Who knew?!

Stan's Favorite Attraction.

Anderson LOVED the rides! He was so happy to finally get to ride stuff. He smiled and laughed the entire time until he fell asleep on our shoulder.

Ainsley decided the Teacup was waay too scary. Not so much into being a daredevil.

Anderson feeling good after the wild and woolly teacup ride!

The Daredevil show that gave everyone such inspiration!

Lexi's daredevil stunt was to be first to volunteer to be a "tight rope walker" in the backyard Circus show. She was very confident and cute.

Ainsley and Lexi decided to go wild and do some rock climbing!

Pinkie Power

The Pinkies had their first game and they lost 10 to 0. Lexi, did you have fun playing? "Mom, I had sooo much fun. But my legs got so tired." She really loves playing.
Her second game, she ended up playing against one of her best friends, Catherine. The girls kept talking, smiling and playing. Lexi fell and hurt her knee and cried. Catherine ran over to our side and kept asking if she is okay. Sooo sweet.

For those of you who have seen me watch a Cowboys game... Or Sooners game... That's pretty much how I am watching my little ones play soccer. I should really just let Stan take them, but it's so much fun.

Pitter Pat

I wish I could capture the sounds in my house. Of course our old house has sqeaky floors. But, I'm talking about the kids. Mainly Anderson. He runs from room to room. Even from one side of the room to the other. When he turns the corner, his whole body is tilted to the side, his arms are bent and elbows up high.
I can be anywhere in the house and I hear this
pound, pound, pound, stop.
pound, stop.
pound, pound, pound, pound, pound, pound, stop.

Note the elbow (I know, toosh check).

Notice the tilt of his body.

Happy Girl

I wish I could make it stop, but alas, Ainlsey Grace has turned 5. She is such a wonderful person to be with. She is so funny and very silly. Very sensitive, so don't mess with her! Of course, I'm not objective, but she is so beautiful to look at. Her smile beams and she has such an innocent sweet face. Here are some reminder pictures of her birthday's over the years....

This picture is sad. But, this is the ONLY picture I have of her on her 1st birthday! Sadly, we were using the Video Cam too much. Lesson learned.... She sat in her high chair for about 15 seconds, tops.
Here she is at her 2nd birthday party. It was the Pink Party and she had a ball, but doesn't remember any of it. :)
Look at her curls!!! She had a "flower party" for her 3rd bday b/c she "loves flowers."
Build-a-bear heaven. Here she is at number 4. So sweet.
On our way to her birthday party... She decided to make her own shoes (notice ribbons tied around her jellies) and wear a fancy skirt.
Happy Birthday Gracie!

Diary of an over scheduler

So, Stan is gone M, T, W, Th. On F, S, S he is studying. So, I decided during the summer, I'll finally allow the girls to do what they ask me to do all the time. I have always made them choose b/t Ballet & Gymnastics. I refused to let them do soccer b/c of the time commitments. This year, I threw in the towel. Buckle your seat belt, you are about to put a frown on your face.

School 8:30 to 3:00 M-F. Here is our life after school:

Monday -Violin. Come home. Piano at the next door neighbor's house.
Tuesday - Gymnastics
Wednesday - Lexi Soccer Practice
Thursday - Ballet. Ainsley Soccer practice.
Saturday - 2 soccer games.

So, basically, they have 5 activities EACH. I can't believe I'm doing what I have always sworn not to do. But, I have to admit, we are staying busy. The girls are distracted and not realizing how much Daddy is gone. And to top it all off, we're having fun. Hey, it's not so bad. Of course, it's only been 2 weeks of this schedule.... I'll give a full honest report after the semester is over.

In the meantime, can't talk, gotta go!!
