New York City, beautiful girls, beautiful sweets and a beautiful trip

Our tradition of a one on one mommy trip for their 10th birthday has just turned out to be even more special than we could have imagined it. It's adventurous, it's fun, we learn and we are together....  We make such memories.  Here is AG on her first subway ride.  She didn't want to sit, she wanted to stand and hang on.

The first thing we do when we arrive is visit Rockefeller Center and visit the Top of the Rock.  Views are unbelievable.

Nadine picked us up in style AGAIN from the airport and whisked us to our apartment.  We went straight to mid-town and while we were at the top of the rock, she snagged great seats for us to sit and relax in front of the statue.  You will see on TV people ice skating here in the winter in front of the tree.

 I love this girl. 

After Rockefeller plaza we ran off to go see AG's first Broadway show, Wicked!  INCREDIBLE INCREDIBLE show.  I'm still thinking about it.  So good.  But before we made it there, we stopped to visit the other Statue of Liberty.

Off to the Statue Of Liberty.  She is so breathtaking. Here are 3 of the most beautiful girls ever. 

After the SOL, we were blessed to be able to go see the 911 Memorial.  There are no words.  Everyone must visit this one day.  The rose signifies someones birthday. 

Later that day we were off to Little Italy to eat at the country's first Pizzeria, then to Beer Garden with awesome views of the Brooklyn and the Brooklyn Bridge.  Great day.

 That day ended on a gross note for me though.  Behold Tartar.  I have no words for this either.

Every subway stop has this beautiful tile work for each stop.  I love it.

The next day, off to arguably the kids favorite day.  We saw an amazing installation at the Guggenheim, stopped by the Met to see my sweet college friends, went to Dylan's Candy Bar and had Frozen Hot Chocolate at Serendipity.  YUM.

 After all of that excitement, off to our second show.  Stomp.  Now I totally get why this show has been running for 20 years.  FANTASTIC!  The girls met two of the performers and got their autograph.  Soo special. 

Thank you New York City for giving us such a fun place to explore.  And thanks soo much to our dear friends who let us move into their apartment while they are gone for the summer.  And thanks to our friends for going with us and being fantastic travel partners.  See you in 3 years NYC!  P.S. Daddy held down the fort quite well.  Thank you Mumsie and Grandaddy for coming and helping too.
