She's in 1st grade

I'm always pleasantly surprised by the neat things that go on at the girls school. It's such a sweet place for them to be. Today was our first Graduation Ceremony also known as Move Up Day.

Alexandra has been in the same class for 3 1/2 years. Her teachers know her better than anyone. The teachers gave a speech about each child. Of course, I was balling during Lexi's. It was so sweet, kind and very thoughtful. It was so special, it's hard to explain.

She is proud of herself and can't wait until 1st grade. She'll be in "Lower Elementary 1" for the next 3 years. 2 incredible teachers await her.

Her Aunt Shellie came to support her and when she saw her she grinned ear to ear. Such a big moment for her today.

Mrs. Akin. The woman responsible for teaching a Kindergartner, Multiplication, Division, Reading & Cursive. She also taught her kindness, respect, manners and made her feel special and useful and important.

Mrs. Bolano. Here is the sweet teacher responsible for Lexi's amazing Spanish understanding and great accent. She has taught her sign language and a love of music and composers. All of this is "fun" for her.

Her Diploma!
