Ceremonies are good

The kids do not remember him NOT being in school.  I'm so happy for him and them and us.  I started crying when the music started.  I stopped when the baby screamed.....

Riff raff

Munger Place is not boring. That is something Stan, the children and I can definitely vouch for. There is always something to do, someone to talk to or a reason to call the police. Here is reason #438 to call police.

Stan and I were out for a fun party and got home late. We fell asleep then shortly thereafter we were awoken by an hysterical dog. Stan went downstairs... as I anxiously awaited an update. It came in the form of, "Call the police! Someone is passed out on our front porch...."

This thrilled me actually because I have an itchy trigger finger for 9-1-1. Usually, Stan thinks I'm being over zealous by calling 9-1-1 so much.

Ambulance came - the unconscious man was alive, no ID, had drugs on him.

Stan said, he "shot him with the iPhone in his left hand instead of the .45 in his right.  Felt the castle was safe given his condition."  He asked them to run Hispanic Huckleberry Finn through their computer system... Nothing came up.

Four

Here is my car baby....so it goes when you are number 4. Number 4 also gets lollipops so it definitely has its advantages....

Book 1

We had a beautiful concert to celebrate Alexandra completing book 1 of her Violin Suzuki training.  The amazing thing about the concert was all the preparation she put into the performance.  It really got her playing and practicing and embracing the songs...  She learned to play more musically and she practiced playing duets.  It really came together beautifully.  She played her pieces in reverse order in which she learned them.  Our recorder died but we got the first song.  She overcame nerves and played the violin.  In Ainsley Grace's words, "we are so proud of you, Lexi."

Here is Gavotte.

6 year old Ninjas

I think Anderson wanted a Ninja party just so he could finally get some Nunchakus.  He has been asking for them for well over a year - I just never saw them so I never bought them.  When I found them he was pretty darn happy.  It was like, pure joy for him and wide eyed fear for his 8 and 10 year old sisters.

He had a ball, in fact alll the kids had a great time.  Master Lee from Yim's Taekwondo is really amazing and working with the kids and making everyone feel accomplished.  He was really fantastic.  Highly recommend that place.

The big girls had just as much fun as these 5 and 6 year old boys.  SERIOUSLY!

 Here was his crowning moment....

May Queen

Ainsley Grace had her first Holy Communion on Saturday.  She prepared for a year and when she woke up Saturday morning she told me, "Mommy, I'm nervous."  But, it didn't last long.  As soon as she was all dressed, we got to the church early and she saw her friends and she was so excited.  Here she is before I dropped her off.

Here is the big moment, our sweet friend emailed me these pictures! Beautiful.

Here is she with her Godparents and family after Mass.

Another very special moment for Miss Ainsley Grace is she was selected to represent the 2nd grade to crown Mary.  What an incredible honor, she was thrilled!

Here she is with her adorable class and her teacher who worked hard all year to get the kids ready.
Congratulations to my lovely May Queen... We love you Ainsley Grace.

Goodbye Minitruck

So, Lexi and I love talking about mullets...   In fact, all of us get a lot of milage from "business in the front, party in the back" references in multiple contexts.  However, Lexi's favorite mullet is the Minitruck Mullet, which we have decided is what Whit has... Yet, again, Whit is paving his own way since my other three had little baby curls so they didn't have haircuts til they were much older...

Well, the time has come to say goodbye to the minitruck, so my good friend Anita is going to cut it for me in carline this week.  A fitting end to my mulletesque baby.
Incidentally, my favorite is the Mulleteam.  Truly amazing that everyone had the same do.  This should be a case study so history does not repeat.

Name in lights

... Or name on marquee. The school auctions off personal messages at the auction. This is a brilliant fundraising idea since it costs them nothing. We were thrilled to see our message.
