Ways to avoid cleaning your room 101

Lexi:

1. [Fake cry, limping into my room] Mom, I can't clean b/c I'm having growing pains.

2. [Fake cry] Buddy is brushing my hair, I can't move! He won't stop! Mom: Just stand up.

3. [Walks into my room] I can't clean b/c I'm thirsty.

4. [Screamy fake cry] I can't clean because Ainsley is not helping and it's frustrating meeeeee.

5. I'm so so so so so so so so tired.

Ainsley:

1. [Walks into my room] Mom, I need to ask you something. Mom: Okay. Ainsley: When is November? Mom: 5 months from now. Ainsley: [Pause, looking around] What will we do in November? Mom: I'll tell you when your room is clean.

2. [Walks into my room, smiling, holding a ponytail holder] Mom, I can't clean b/c my hair is in my way [serious look at me].

3. [Fake screamy cry] Mom, I can't clean because I can't move my foot. Mom: Why?? Ainsley: I have a skeeto bite. It's Gigantic! So so big.

4. [Swinging from the bed rail, standing on a the corner of her doll bin] Hey Mom, I need to tell you something. [Looks up] Umm. [Looks to the side] Umm. [Looks at me, staring at her] I forgot.

5. I can't clean b/c my back hurts.

The End.

PS. All of this happened within a 35 minute time span.

Summertime

Summer got off to a busy and fun start. The girls finished 2 weeks of swimming lessons. BOTH of them can swim without floaties! Lexi is really doing well, she looooves to swim and swam her heart out for 2 weeks. Ainsley is doing great, too! Especially, considering last year she floated for two weeks straight without kicking her legs 1 time. Something clicked this year. She worked really hard too and couldn't wait each day to go!

Here they are getting ready to jump in and swim with their clothes on.

They teach them to do this incase they were to ever fall in by accident...

Here are the Queen Sillies "too tired to shop." We were dragging them around looking at paint colors... Pitiful. Picture doesn't show them running around like crazy animals playing hide and seek. Once we made them stop, they were too tired.

Here they are getting ready for the concert at Vacation Bible School. It was a cowboy theme this year. Here is Anders chasing them with a stick while posing for me. Here they are before the concert. Lexi made her own necklace so she could be fancy for the show. Ainsley sang and had a BALL during the performance. Ainsley looooves being a "cowboy princess!" So sweeeeet.

And just to make you smile...

Happy Summer!

Luchador

That's prounounced [looch-a-door].

Our little man is wild. He hurls his body in various directions of interest. If he wants me, he dosesn't scoot, crawl, walk or reach. He throws himself at me. When he lays down, he flops down flat and stays in place.

The other day at Teeargit he was crawling on the floor when he got too far from me. So, I went to pick him up and he hurled his body away from me to escape. Whacked his head on a clothes rack and got a huge shiner.

The other night I had to get up to check on the girls in thier bed, I guess the sleeping baby sensed I had moved over and he hurled his body off the bed trying to get me.

When he isn't in the mood to be picked up, he does a back-bend with his hands in the air and slides out of your arms. "Mom! I can't pick up buddy, he's doing the bendy thing!"

When he is crawling and wants to go faster, he looks down at his belly and sort of cranks up the speed and flies across a room with this power crawl. "Mom! Anderson is headcrawling again!"

Lexi is excellent at giving everything a title.

He knows what he is doing. He is in the hitting, throwing and hair pulling phase. He likes it because he knows it's something by the reaction. He'll do the offense and then widen his eyes, close his mouth and look straight at you. Almost like he is saying, "uuuh, huh. what'cha got?"

Yaaah, boys really are different. He is soooo physcial. Everything is done with his body. Stan's "title" for him right now is luchador. It's spanish for a Mexican Free-style wrestler.
