Broken foot, broken pipes, broken tire

It's been quite a week. Last 7 days have been full of moments.  First, I opened a $757 water bill which led us to a broken pipe discovery.  Then come to find out that broken pipe was a metal pipe which is a big nono.  So, we get to install a new plumbing line into the house.

Whitaker also broke the top of his foot while bringing me straws in the kitchen. I didn't see the fall, but he fell and screamed like no other scream has ever been.  Sure enough, he has a wrinkle/buckle fracture on the top of his left foot.

However, with the boot, Whitaker doesn't even act like he has a broken foot.  I think he forgot.

Then, we were running errands when I hit a large piece of metal going down I75.  Here is what it did to my tire.  Ugh.  Scary.  Pain.

On a more positive note, Anderson got to bring home the Berry Nice Bear.  He loved it.

Lexi has been busy this fall, one of her new favorite sports is cross country.  She has loved the training and the meets.  She has been playing basketball, cheering, volleyball.  She has had a lot of fun this fall.

All this activity did catch up to her the other night.  She fell asleep at 6pm.  SIX!  My night owl.  She slept a yummy 13 hours.... Was so sweet.
Whit got a rug city.  He took the cars that came with it.  Drove them all over the town.  Made several stops.  Then turned the cars on their side for their nap.  Pretty much sums up Whitakers life.

We got some TP payback.  Poor skellie....  So funny.  Good times.

12. Already.

Well, well, our beautiful little girl is officially 12.  I feel like the luckiest mom in the world that she is mine.  Stan feels the same way.  So far so good. Let's hope we don't mess up the next 6 years...

All the girls want to do at this age is TP boys houses.  So, with pre-approval from 5 of the 6 mom's, the TP party commenced.  It was so. much. fun.

First, supplies and party favors.

Second.  Loud, silly girls.

3rd, Dave and Busters to break the bank. :-(  But they had fun.....

Next, home to have cake and play.

Hanging out and waiting for it to get dark...... They were ready.

I love this girl.  Thank you Alexandra for being so precious.  Wonderful big sister.  Wonderful daughter.  Wonderful girl and friend to everyone you know. Daddy and I can't wait for the next 6 years of fun.

Big Tex Returns

We went to the fair on the first day it opened.  The kids had a ball, we were there from 1 to 8pm.  We probably could have kept going but we were missing the baby!

I won the minion for Lexi.  She was super happy!

The ostrich races were hilarious!

Welcome back, Big Tex!

Segues

  • Anderson joins Boy Scouts and spends loads of time with Daddy in the garage building derby car and regatta.
  • Ainsley Grace thinks, "wait a minute I want to build something with Daddy!" and researches wood working projects and decides she wants to build a catapult.
  • Catapult gets built.  AG very happy.
  • Daddy tired from working and wood working goes and has a drink at the Dallasite by himself and meets a guy who is working on building a catapult for a TV show he works on.
  • Daddy shows guy AG's catapult, guy likes her catapult. In fact, he gets catapult envy bc he thought hers catapulted further than his, plus he liked the wheel mechanism.
  • Guy borrows AG's catapult (more on this later in a later blog) and invites family to a taping of the show.
  • Mom and Dad decide to attend the show without kids first to prescreen.  We arrive and sit in the very back row corner, perched for the evaluation.
  • Crew member waves at us and beckons us with an insistent rushed manor for us to move down to the floor in the front row.
  • Next thing you know, Andrew Dice Clay, Tara Reid and Tom Green walk out and sit in front of Mom and Dad to do their jobs.
  • The shows airs later in the year.  We will let you know if we make it to the big screen.
  • Who knew Anderson joining boy scouts would land us on a TV Show!?

No high school

We decided to go to the Bishop Lynch high school football game. It was homecoming weekend so the mums were on full display! An amazing sight.  The kids hung out with friends and had a nice time with the music, the food, the atmosphere. Here they are...

However, I have made a major decision. As I sat there watching the high school boys and girls run around, I realized I'm not ready. There was a boy who hung his mum over his business!  A girl who walked around with 2 mums as light up mum boobs. I mean, were their parents there???

I'm preparing HS home school curriculum right now.
Here are some sweet mum examples of my friends wonderful kids. Cute stuff. Really adorable. Until it gets torchered.
