PK4

Whitaker met his new pre-school teacher.  She is so sweet, he was sooo excited to go back to school!!

At least Whit was not the only one who refused to lift his arms up.  Ha!  Boys.

Sugar, sick and friends

Whitaker and his sweet tooth.  The stories could really be endless... Endless requests, endless caving in, endless sugar highs and lows and cavities!  Bad bad mommy Whitaker has.  Until, her eldest daughter reminded her that she had a brilliant idea when it came to TV.  A long time ago, I used TV tokens to give the kids some moderated TV Time.  Why not create a Sugar Token.  BRILLIANT!  It's working beautifully. Altho, as soon as he wakes up, he goes and grab's his first token and cashes it in.  5 or 6 times he has had ice cream for breakfast.  He usually cashes one in at lunch and has to suffer the rest of the day since they are spent.  Good good mommy and big sister. ;-)

Here is the little guy after his first 45 minute soccer practice. ;-)  Probably needs sugar.

Poor buddy got a terrible virus where he couldn't eat, threw up and had a very severe headache.  I finally made the call late at night, because my savior Becky came over and took Whitaker for me.  It ended up being a good call, he was sick.  He got better quickly after this....

The girls and I got invited to have one last hurrah before school started.  I had fun hanging out at our friend's lake house, the girls had a ball with their friends!

Exhale, devil dino, dressup

The girls love for me to take them to Exhale Spa where I workout and use their pool and showers.  So, I took them and a friend and they had so much fun.  There favorite part tho is not the pool, it's the shower, using their complimentary orange and lemon infused water, razors, shampoo, brushes, deodorants, etc.  It's hilarious.  They got Shirley Temples on the house this time.  Happy girls.
Here they are in the sauna.

We did an IKEA run and they were having face painting.  The girls helped him and told the artist he wanted to be a dinosaur.  The lady got demonic!  He was so scary looking he even scared kids at Skyline at volleyball after.  He came to me and said, "Mommy, take this off I don't want to scare anyone.  Poor dude."

Lexi's friends came over just to kill time and hang out.  They lost their minds and dressed up, got goofy then went to the park dressed like this...And made this terrible video with AG's assistance.

AL loves DL

Okay, I need ur help. What's the plan for never letting him change?
AL ðŸ’› DL (Anderson Lewis loves Dawn Lewis)

Zoo trip

We love going to the Zoo.  Whitaker would go everyday if he could. Our membership was about to expire so we snuck one more trip in until we renew next year...  We went on the hottest day of the summer, but we did alright.  It was fun this last time, we fed the giraffe's.  The sad part is we were there 2 days before the baby giraffe died. :-(  But, the Dallas Zoo is the best zoo I have ever visited and we are lucky it is so close.

We saw a tamed porcupine.  TOO CUTE!

The zoo has an awesome nature exchange program.  Anderson brought in a quartz crystal he had and the guy gave him an awesome lesson on the stones and let him look at it under a microscope.  Then finally, he gave him 2,000 points for it.  So, Anderson brought home a cow skull, sand from Egypt and now has 100 points left for next time!

See you in a year Dallas Zoo!

Circus and Made To Thrive

The kids go to The Pines Catholic Camp every summer, but this summer Ainsley Grace was wait listed.  It was really heart breaking.  The coordinator thought she would eventually get in but it did not happen.  So, we encouraged her to come up with a list of alternative activities or something she would like to buy since we are not spending the money for her to go to camp this year.  She decided to do a Circus Camp!  AND buy a Lululemon Backpack for school!!! ;-)

The camp was really cool, it was neat all the things they taught them.  One family traveled from Mexico just to do this camp.  Another family came in from Brazil!  It was super fun, AG said this camp "was a ball!!!!"

My phone ran out of space so I couldn't record her demonstration with the music so I had her do it a second time using her phone.  Not quite the same but you get the gist.  The last little flippy thing made everyone take a deep breath when she did it.

The guy took pity on Whit and let him try!

We hung out with the sweet family from Mexico during the week since they were traveling.  They came to the pool with us and their 3 boys played with Whitaker a lot.  Here is AG with Valaria and her other friend.

This year was Anderson's first year to attend The Pines.  He LOVED it.  The theme this year was Made To Thrive.  What a perfect sentiment.  The Pines is  such a special place.  He told me one of his favorite things was in the chapel, he knew when Jesus was present because they lit the red candle.  It helped him know when to be even more reverent and he really liked it.  I showed him the tabernacle door at church this weekend, it's not red candle but still a visual indicator.

Here are pictures of them with their friends and with their camp counselors.

At the end of the week I had a Mom's night out and we had sooo much fun dancing and hanging out laughing!!!  But, that day we got the terrible news that our cousin Emma hurt her hand pretty badly where she had to be admitted into the hospital because of infection.  We sent her a cow and balloons.  She is so adorable even when sick.  And she is all better now.  Praise God!
