My precious 12 year old loves to take selfies. She is a photobombing selfie taker. But, they are so cute. I love having pictures of her. She is the sweetest funniest girl ever. I'm so glad she is mine. Selfies and all.....

Good at looking busy
Ainsley Grace came home on a Friday and told me she needed a campaign poster for Monday and a speech ready for Friday. She wanted to run for Mayor of Enterprise City. We had a great time coming up with ideas. This is what she decided on. We are a little sarcastic in our family as you will see.... She delivered her speech beautifully and was very funny. She was unflappable and didn't seem nervous at all. Unfortunately, she did not win her campaign, but that doesn't mean it wasn't the best campaign ever.
Ainsley’s campaign
speech
I’m kind of embarrassed because on my
way to school I realized I forgot to write a speech so I paid a guy on the
street $15 to write one for me, lets see how it goes. There are four reasons you
should vote for me.
1) I will help write the best laws
2) You will follow the
best laws
3) You will enjoy
following the best laws
4) I’m good at looking
busy
But seriously people I am a good trustworthy
person that will make good decisions and you can count on me to be a great mayor.
Hey! That was a good speech!

Whit's disapproval
I told my kids the constant tattling had to stop. I asked them for their solution to this issue. They decided they would make a tattling mailbox and write down their grievances. They made an actual mailbox with a flag out of paper. I'm supposed to look for the flag. It has worked in the respect they are not running to me constantly with whining. It hasn't worked because of submissions such as these.
And, the additional irony here is before they would tattle and they didn't care if the entire world heard their grievance. But now when I pull the papers out all the kids want to see what it says but the tattler is insistent on me not showing anyone and keeping it top secret. Really?!?!

Boy time
The boys had a great time on their boys fishing trip. They did some serious shopping to get ready for the trip including buying Anderson one of the ugliest camo shirts I have ever seen which is now his "favorite" shirt. Wow, boys and camo. Mom's just don't get it.
They went with a bunch of school friends. Here is Anderson wearing his favorite shirt playing with his buddy crazy excited to go!
The first night I just got a text of the campfire. But then finally the good stuff started coming in.... Anderson and Daddy had a GREAT time. Although Anderson did nto follow my instractions. I told him, "Do NOT come back from this trip with Lice!" I got the call yesterday. Blech.
How cute are my boys??!
