Catching up!

Oh my what to say.  I closed my eyes and woke up a month later.  Things have been good.  Everyone is healthy.  We are having fun running around.  Lots of things to do.  All is good, I just ran out of time to blog it!

Our new fun thing is Geocaching.  We have such a good time, the kids LOVE it!  We found our first one at a bus stop by our house.  We almost gave up looking, then did one last hunt and found it.  FUN!

An STA tradition for 2nd graders is to decorate a stocking for the kids.  With Ainsley Grace's I used hot glue, put so much time shopping for it and gave it so much thought.  For Anderson, I ran to the store and slapped this baby together in the car, on the last day it was due! :(  BAD MOMMY. Sorry Buddy.  He didn't care though - he REALLY REALLY loved it!

Sweet lulu and I went an saw Catching Fire together.  We wore our Katniss braids like last time.  This time she taught me the art of the selfie. Apparently, I do it all wrong.  "Mom!  Quit looking at your phone!"  
We had wonderful time together.  As always.

 

Boy hair

The boys were getting so "shaggy" as Anderson says.  The other morning, they had matching bed heads.  They were so CUTE.  

But, I took that as a sign it was time to get a haircut.

So off we went.  I love Sports Clips.

Scary Dressup

Halloween festivities had some fun additions this year.  It all started with Alexandra's 6th grade rising party.  They had a halloween party this year and guess who came in town to scare the kids?!  That's right, Mumsie and Graddaddy grabbed the trailor full of props and headed to Dallas.  

How scary is THIS?  AG was warding the kids off from the Old Hag's house until it was dark enough to shuffle them thru the haunted tent.  It was great fun.  THANKS SO MUCH for doing this for her!  I hope y'all recovered.

The real Halloween finally came around.  Here is my little crew.  Whitaker refused to put a costume on.  UNTIL he found the candy cauldron and spottend "pops!"  So he aggreed to wear his costume for a lolipop.   Good trade, I guess.

 Of course it's always risky inviting friends over to our house on Halloween.  Because they always have to contend with this!  He scared a lot of kids this year, although he also got asked to take a lot of pictures with kids.  Mixed bag fo sho. This looks like a scared princess to me.  Why he is perched at the bottom of the stairs I have no idea.... He really does scare ME.


Of course all Hallows Eve is followed by All Saints.  Anderson was super adorable as St. Vincent DePaul.

Here is some scary dressup.  Lexi went to her buddy's bday party.  They went to the mall and played dressup.  Do these look like teenagers or WHAT?  The little vandals got their TP gear on again.... We already got paid back, again!  Although Stan totally busted them this time!  Hah!

Here is some dressup that's WON'T scare you.  Ainsley Grace was Cinderella in her class play.  ADORABLE she was.

Broken foot, broken pipes, broken tire

It's been quite a week. Last 7 days have been full of moments.  First, I opened a $757 water bill which led us to a broken pipe discovery.  Then come to find out that broken pipe was a metal pipe which is a big nono.  So, we get to install a new plumbing line into the house.

Whitaker also broke the top of his foot while bringing me straws in the kitchen. I didn't see the fall, but he fell and screamed like no other scream has ever been.  Sure enough, he has a wrinkle/buckle fracture on the top of his left foot. 

However, with the boot, Whitaker doesn't even act like he has a broken foot.  I think he forgot.

 Then, we were running errands when I hit a large piece of metal going down I75.  Here is what it did to my tire.  Ugh.  Scary.  Pain.

On a more positive note, Anderson got to bring home the Berry Nice Bear.  He loved it.

Lexi has been busy this fall, one of her new favorite sports is cross country.  She has loved the training and the meets.  She has been playing basketball, cheering, volleyball.  She has had a lot of fun this fall.

All this activity did catch up to her the other night.  She fell asleep at 6pm.  SIX!  My night owl.  She slept a yummy 13 hours.... Was so sweet.

 Whit got a rug city.  He took the cars that came with it.  Drove them all over the town.  Made several stops.  Then turned the cars on their side for their nap.  Pretty much sums up Whitakers life. 

 We got some TP payback.  Poor skellie....  So funny.  Good times.

12. Already.

Well, well, our beautiful little girl is officially 12.  I feel like the luckiest mom in the world that she is mine.  Stan feels the same way.  So far so good. Let's hope we don't mess up the next 6 years...

All the girls want to do at this age is TP boys houses.  So, with pre-approval from 5 of the 6 mom's, the TP party commenced.  It was so. much. fun.  

First, supplies and party favors.

Second.  Loud, silly girls.

3rd, Dave and Busters to break the bank. :-(  But they had fun.....  

Next, home to have cake and play.

Hanging out and waiting for it to get dark...... They were ready.

I love this girl.  Thank you Alexandra for being so precious.  Wonderful big sister.  Wonderful daughter.  Wonderful girl and friend to everyone you know. Daddy and I can't wait for the next 6 years of fun.
